Illinois is home to many different styles of food and one of these cuisines is Mexican. There are many restaurants in and around Wauconda but there is one location in Palatine called One Taco Dos Tequila that serves fantastic food. Located at 375 West Northwest Highway, this restaurant’s lead seller is the Al La Carte Taco priced at $5 per taco. 

I, myself, have gone here several times with much of my immediate and extended family and have recommended it to others before as the food and atmosphere is deserving of so much praise. A popular appetizer is the very tasty Cheese Dip priced at $12 which may seem like a lot; however, the portions are substantial and a large bowl of chips is provided at no cost. Another item at the restaurant is the Al La Carte Burrito which costs $14 and can be customized with 4 different meats, cheeses, and a variety of vegetables. The burrito is enough to put in a to-go box and eat for lunch the next day.

If you are looking for more than just delicious food, you will be interested to hear that the restaurant is decorated with beautiful neon lighting along the wall as well as lights that hang throughout the main dining area. There is music playing and TV’s are on with sports games. As for seating, there are half booths and normal chairs. There is a bar  right next to the dining area with a selection of 100 different tequilas for parents of course. 

The service each time has been phenomenal. Our waiters and waitresses have been nothing but respectful and our orders come correct every time. A large party may have to wait for a bit longer but this is because the food is made fresh in the kitchen.
