After 21 years, Mr. Klett says his final Goodbyes

Our principal, Mr. Daniel Klett, is retiring after 21 years of being at Wauconda High School. He has done so much work for our school and district. Mr. Klett has served on the Board of Directors since 2004 and has been involved in education since 1991. However, Mr. Klett was more than just our principal, he was a biology teacher, a softball coach, a volleyball coach, a football coach, and a science teacher. He has worked for the following schools: Lowpoint-Washburn Jr/Sr High School, Sullivan Middle School, Woodstock High School, and of course, Wauconda High School. Mr Klett was involved in many sports during his high school years such as wrestling, tennis, and football. After High School, he graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor’s of Biology and a minor in physical education. He has stated in an interview about his retirement, that he will sadly miss all the students and staff. He has exciting new plans to move to North Carolina and build a home out there. Mr. Klett will be sadly missed by all the students and teachers, but we all wish him the best.
