Hamilton is a classic, well-known musical that teaches people about Alexander Hamilton, his story, and the Constitution. Hamilton came out in 2015, and in August of 2025, the cast celebrated the 10th anniversary of the musical written by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
A few years have passed since the musical first came out, and even though it is older, it hasn’t failed to bring entertainment and fun. The songs are still extremely popular, and trends are being made from some of the popular songs. The most recent one being the “come back to sleep” trend from the song, “Best of Wives and Best of Women.”
People of all ages have been participating in this trend, from young children to grandparents. Some women have been dressing up in colonel costumes, playing Alexander Hamilton’s part, and opening a window while filming to make it look like they are aggressively leaving. This trend has gone so viral that men have been picking up the other part and dressing up like Eliza and portraying her reactions and phrases.
Lin-Manuel Miranda hasn’t failed to post about seeing these trends, as he recently posted on Instagram a video of him recreating the trend on stage while talking about the ten years of Hamilton being out. Hopefully, the fun of trends and memories will continue, and Lin-Manuel keeps getting all the love for the musical he deserves.
